SO much kissing

Ahhh......the director has gone insane! So much kissing in a middle school production!

Ok, I kid. Partially. Part of me is wondering if I might be getting some "concerned" phone calls after the show. Perhaps even from my husband, who, two years ago when we did Grease, was SHOCKED that I allowed the kids to give the finger in the show. Umm, yeah. Come spend an hour in a middle school and see if you still think giving the finger is shocking. Around here, that can be much the same as waving hello.

Anyhow, I've just choreographed a new dance number. At one point, two of my dancing girls come up and kiss one of the leads (the one of "Mrs Lukowski" fame) on both cheeks.

So see? Cheek kissing, they don't even have to touch, it's just for a cute effect, and it works. Correction, it WOULD work if said lead didn't keep turning his head to the side when the girls are going for his cheek.

Although it LOOKS like the trick buskers use for a cheap kiss and a cheap laugh when he does it, I honestly don't think he's doing it on purpose. This is the same kid who had problems with step-together-step, and apparently "keep your head forward" is posing a challenge as well.
